University of Miami Student Activities Center
Built in 2013.
Designed by Arquitectonica.
The Student Activities Center is located along a lake, extending from the campus entrance. The complex
weaves together the student body and unites the central part of the campus into a whole. The plan was the
result of the input of thousands of students, faculty members, and staff. The building features a 10,000 SF
student organization suite of offices for student groups, plus conference rooms and workspace. A fully
equipped media center will house the University radio, yearbook and school newspaper with all necessary
computer and production facilities. In addition, there are many comfortable study spaces for individuals and
groups and a large multi-purpose room adaptable for banquets, lectures, or dance practice. The indoor and
outdoor dining facilities, lounge areas and galleries will retain the spirit of the campus hangout.
